Painted/anodised aluminum

Correct maintenance
Clean with warm soapy water or neutral detergent applied to a soft, wet, non-abrasive sponge/cloth, with a movement following the direction of anodising. Rinse and dry with a clean soft cloth. You can also use microfibre cloths to keep surfaces clean. Immediately remove any dirt stains as soon as they appear. Avoid steam cleaners. For stubborn stains use warm white vinegar and denatured alcohol using a soft cleaning cloth.

Unsuitable products

Stainless steel

Correct maintenance
inless steel gets dirty but can be cleaned easily, the important thing is not to attack the surface layer spontaneously passivated by atmospheric oxygen. Therefore, to keep the steel clean and in good condition, do not forget to clean the surface after use with water and a neutral liquid detergent, using a soft, clean sponge, rinsing well and drying with a soft, preferably warm, cloth. This will prevent the appearance of unsightly halos on the surface and the formation of lime deposits. Periodically or in the case of stubborn stains, use specific products for cleaning steel, following the instructions on the product label regarding dosage and method of use. If scrubbing is necessary during washing, the movement should be parallel to the direction of the satin finish to avoid visible scratching of the surface. For persistent stains use warm vinegar.

Unsuitable products
For proper cleaning, products containing chlorides must not be used, especially those containing hydrochloric acid; products based on halides; products based on hydrogen peroxide; bleaches based on hypochlorous acid; aggressive products containing acids; detergents containing abrasive powder; creams for cleaning steel; silver cleaning products; detergents whose chemical composition is unknown; scouring pads, brushes or abrasive pads; rough cloths or rough paper; tools that have previously cleaned other metals or alloys; do not apply products directly on surfaces to be cleaned.

Chromed - plated wire Painted wire Painted sheet metal

Correct maintenance
Rinse with water and dry with a clean cloth or chamois leather. For more persistent stains use warm vinegar or normal cleaning products that do not contain abrasive powders. Normal neutral liquid detergents, water and alcohol diluted in equal parts.

Unsuitable products
For proper cleaning, products containing chlorides must not be used, especially those containing hydrochloric acid; products based on halides; products based on hydrogen peroxide; bleaches based on hypochlorous acid; aggressive products containing acids; detergents containing abrasive powder and acetone, steel cleaning creams; silver cleaning products; detergents whose chemical composition is unknown; scouring pads, brushes or abrasive pads; rough cloths or rough paper; tools that have previously cleaned other metals or alloys; do not apply products directly on surfaces to be cleaned.

FENIX NTM®

Correct maintenance
are well tolerated. The use of a melamine foam sponge, also known as magic gum, is recommended for normal cleaning and maintenance of the surface. For extraordinary maintenance when there are traces of dirt that cannot be removed with normal household cleaners, due to the irregular topography of the surface of FENIXNTM® its extreme tightness, we recommend the use of non-aggressive aromatic solvents for cleaning. The following are the most suitable cleaning products and methods for different types of dirt:

  • syrup, fruit juice, jam, spirits, milk, tea, coffee, wine, soap, ink - remove stains with a degreaser using a microfibre cloth and rinse with lukewarm water, always using the microfibre cloth;
  • animal and vegetable fats, sauces, dried wine and spirits, eggs - remove stains with paper towels, clean afterwards with a degreaser using a microfibre cloth and rinse with lukewarm water always using the microfibre cloth;
  • smoke black, gelatine, vegetable and vinyl glues, organic residues, gum arabic – clean with warm water using soap or household cleaner with a sponge;
  • hairsprays, vegetable oils, ballpoint and felt-tip pens, wax, dye base and greasy powders, solvent residues – remove stains with blotting paper and acetone (nail varnish remover), then clean with a degreaser using a microfibre cloth and rinse with lukewarm water using the microfibre cloth;
  • limescale residues – clean with detergents containing low percentages of citric or acetic acid (max. 10%).

Unsuitable products
Although very hard-wearing, FENIXNTM® should never be treated with products containing abrasive substances, abrasive sponges or unsuitable tools such as sandpaper or scouring pads. Products with a strong acid or very alkaline content should be avoided as they could stain the surface. When using solvents, the cloth must be perfectly clean so that no marks are left on the FENIXNTM® surface. Any marks can still be removed by rinsing with warm water and drying. Avoid furniture polishes and cleaning agents containing waxes in general because they tend to form a sticky layer on the compact surface of FENIXNTM® to which dirt adheres.

Glass

Correct maintenance
Clean with common glass cleaning products or alcohol diluted with water; in the case of persistent stains, use creamy cleaning products such as Cif, rinsing afterwards.

Unsuitable products
Cleaning agents and abrasive products, metal sponges, products containing acids, acetone-based solvents.

Plastics

Correct maintenance
Use a solution of soap and warm water and a soft microfibre cloth, taking care to rinse the cloth regularly to avoid rubbing dirt on the surface.

Unsuitable products
Take care not to wipe plastic parts with products containing thinner or acetone, which can cause deformation or temporary softening of the parts

Wood based materials with and without anti-slip treatment

Correct maintenance
PClean with normal liquid/glass cleaner, diluted with water, which cleans without leaving streaks; dry with soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid steam cleaners.

Unsuitable products
Abrasive, chlorine-containing or excessively aggressive products such as ammonia and acetone.
